Garry: Thundery bursts of rain continue for eastern Scotland this evening, leaving areas of rain onward into the night. Scattered heavy showers forming for Bank Holiday Monday afternoon. Local rain toward the southeast of England may become heavy and persistent.

Garry: A bright day for central England and Wales, feeling pleasant in the sun, highs around 17C. Cloud and patchy rain toward the southwest. Cloudy too for Scotland and Northern Ireland, some local thundery downpours forming in northeast Scotland.

A cluster of heavy likely thundery showers now moving into and across Yorkshire into Northumberland and Borders later into Lanarkshire, Stirling into Argyll through the evening 10 to 12C, whilst sunshine for the remainder of the afternoon and into the evening across western Highland and surrounding Islands 16C going into the evening, A band of cloud and rain continues west to east Dyfed to Wiltshire to Suffolk continues to moves slowly northwards though easing and fragmenting through the evening. Another area of rain moves across Staffordshire into Lancashire and Cumbria to give a dull evening
